Stewardship
Stewardship provides an online giving platform that allows you to easily set-up and manage monthly giving as well as make one-off donations. You can make donations using a debit or credit card or set up a direct debit arrangement. Stewardship can also make a claim for Gift Aid on your donation if you are eligible. You can choose to give anonymously or share your details with LBC. Please note: Stewardship charges LBC a small percentage fee on what you give. |
Bank transfer
You can set-up a regular standing order or make a one-off donation to LBC’s general fund using your online or telephone banking or in person at your local bank branch. For LBC’s bank details or to obtain a standing order form please contact the Treasurer via the church office.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax-payer we encourage you to complete a Gift Aid Declaration if you have not already done so which means that LBC can reclaim an additional 25 pence on every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you. A Gift Aid Declaration is available from the Treasurer via the church office. More information about Gift Aid is available from the Treasurer or here at: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid |
Giving in other ways
Cash or cheque offerings at church services We do not take a collection during our Sunday services but there is an offering box on the table as you enter the church building at the Robert Street entrance which you can use to make a donation in cash or by cheque (made payable to Lancaster Baptist Church). Payroll giving
Some employers operate a payroll giving scheme which allows money to be donated to a charity such as LBC out of your gross monthly earnings. Payroll giving is an alternative to Gift Aid and may have certain advantages for higher rate taxpayers. More information about Payroll Giving is available from the Treasurer via the church office or here at: https://www.gov.uk/payroll-giving Leaving a legacy A gift in your will can help support the ministry, witness and work of the church in the future. As needs change over time we encourage those who wish to leave a gift to LBC in their will to do so for the general purposes of the church, rather than for a restricted purpose. The charity trustees will discuss with executors the most appropriate use of a legacy gift taking account of the donors known areas of interest in the church.
