At LBC we are intentionally seeking to engage in holistic mission. Our vision is to become a Spirit led community by becoming disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ. We long to be a church where each person is equipped to share the 'good news' about Jesus, a fellowship that engages with the local community at a number of different levels and a church that is committed to the mission of God in the wider world.
We are a friendly and accepting place where together we can discover more about God and his will for our lives in the company of people who are on the same journey. Our congregation is made up of all types of people – all ages, different nationalities, from all walks of life, each with our own unique story and journey to faith. Together we are Lancaster Baptist Church. Whatever your age, background, beliefs or current experiences you are very welcome at LBC. |

Our Welcoming Prayer
Dear Lord, in these troublesome times we pray for the healing of our nation and the joy of our salvation; your mercy on the world and your peace in our souls;
the young, the old and your favour on the poor; for the lonely and oppressed, for the anxious and depressed Lord for us all we pray.
Hear us, in your mercy, today!
This prayer is our welcome as a blessing to you who visits this site. Although our church building is not being in use at the moment, we would like to invite you to join us in our virtual services on this page, Facebook or other multimedia channels. We believe that the church of God is more than a gathering on a specific Sunday. In the Bible, church is always a reference to people, not a place. The church is a body of believers that live out the Gospel in their words and actions. During this time, we continue to have fellowship, praise the Lord Jesus Christ and encourage one another through the different multimedia avenues that are available to us. Please join us.
We pray that you and your family will know God’s love, experience His peaceful presence and remain healthy by His mercy.

Thought For The Week
Our next devotional from Emilian can be found here! Our thought of the week will be shared in a variety of ways,(email / Facebook / posted letter), which means that everyone at LBC will be able to 'come together' and read the same thing midweek for encouragement! |

Connect Groups
At LBC, we encourage our members to attend a local Connect Group. They are simply groups of people meeting to learn more about God and encourage one another to keep walking with Jesus. The groups will spend time studying the Bible, praying and challenging one another to spread the hope of the gospel to friends, colleagues and family. We believe that it is important to meet together regularly. Connect Groups enable you to enjoy a different style of learning from a Sunday morning service. |
