Our BELIEF

We believe that God is as real today as he ever has been. Around 2000 years ago he spectacularly showed his love to humankind when he sent his son Jesus into the world to live and to die for us. God continues to offer his love to us today, and he continues to touch and change the lives of those who are open to him. We believe that the Bible is God’s (relevant) Word to us today. So what we teach and how we aim to live centres around that. We are continually discovering that new friends to our church are amazed at how relevant the Bible is to modern-day living.

We try to hold the Bible in one hand and today's newspaper in the other, and to make the link between God's truth, which doesn't change, and our constantly-changing world with all its dilemmas and demands.
thought-provoking, memorable and life-related. The Bible teaches that God is gracious and generous, full of love and truth. Joy and laughter are God’s gifts to us. At LBC we try to reflect this. We aim to see God changing people’s lives on a daily basis: bringing wholeness and hope; restoring joy and peace; and providing focus and purpose. LBC is a community of seekers and learners. We’re seeking to know God better, hear His voice and respond to Him with the whole of our lives. As God changes and refines LBC, He calls us to invest all that we are into being catalysts for other lives and churches that need change. To this end, we are constantly seeking out new ways of effectively reaching today’s generation with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Whenever, wherever, whatever the cost, we desire to be a church that sees where God is moving and responds without hesitation to follow His lead. We would like to glorify Christ, bring others into a living relationship with Him and become a Spirit led community.
