GO FORWARD! 150 years of Baptist Witness

Evening Worship in 2012

This year our evening worship will embark on a new adventure. For the first 6 months of 2012 the worship in the evening will take place on a regular basis on the first Sunday of every month (usually a Communion Service) leaving the remaining Sundays to be used, if and when needed, only with the purpose of the year in mind i.e. mission. It is our hope that this flexibility and specific goal given to our evening worship will allow greater room for creativity and better use of our resources; that they will enhance attendance and most of all will provide a meaningful experience of worship.

4th March - The Witness to local community-

An evening with Keith Bullock.

This is what Keith wrote about his conversion: "My Christian parents brought me up faithfully under the sound of the gospel message. At the age of ten I went away to a Christian camp on the Isle of Wight. Through hearing the testimonies of the leaders and being challenged through the messages I heard, I realised that I was a sinner who personally needed to be saved. In my tent late one night, I knelt by my sleeping bag and cried out to God in prayer. I came to know the wonderful blessing of my sins being forgiven. Keith Bullock

It was not until the age of nineteen that I realised the true cost of following Jesus Christ. Feeling weary of being squeezed into a mould and being tempted by the pull of a promising career, I turned down a place at University. I felt the Lord challenging me from His word. I saw that if my faith was real then it demanded 100%. The Lord has lead me in a very different direction since then."
