LBC Mission Statement: By the work of God's Holy Spirit, we seek to achieve our purpose by . . .

  • magnifying — worship of and devotion to God;
  • ministry — identifying, nurturing and using our gifts and abilities willingly and sacrificially;
  • mission — building bridges of friendship and service in our neighbourhood and making the good news of Jesus Christ known locally and world-wide;
  • membership — deepening relationships through mutual love, care and commitment to each other;
  • maturity — growing in our love and service of Christ together.

Over the years we have seen God touch and change people’s lives, bringing peace, hope, and even joy to those who’ve known real pain.

At LBC you will meet “real” people.

WalkingPeople, who’ve known the loss of bereavement, gone through the pain of divorce and experience the agony of unemployment. People whose dreams have been shattered and re-built. You’ll also meet people whom God has challenged to re-assess their lives and their lifestyle.

We don’t claim to have “arrived”. But we do claim to be on a journey: one enriched by God and his undeserved love. A journey with the sense of purpose that only Jesus brings.
